Karra-Lee Nolan

AMBASSADOR – RUGBY LEAGUE

Karra-Lee Nolan is a PDHPE Teacher at Warilla High School who first became a Rugby League Referee as a result of an injury suffered during her Hurdling Career.

As a Rugby League Referee, Karra-Lee has set many first's for a female official in a male dominated sport. Karra-Lee became the first female to be appointed to a first-grade men’s Grand Final in NSW Country League. Karra-Lee has since gone on to officiate at the Festival of World Cups, International 9’s tournament in Samoa, NRLW Grand Final in 2019 and became the first female official to be appointed to a senior NSWRL Grand Final when she was appointed to the Harvey Norman Women’s Grand Final in 2020.

Karra-Lee’s most significant achievement to date was in 2019 when she was awarded the Senior Referee of the year for NSW Country Rugby League across all male and female referees. More recently Karra-Lee has played a huge role in the development of the Women In League Officiating Program for all female officials in Rugby League within Australia.
