Jacqui Dover is a Basketball referee, a proud Yugambeh Aboriginal woman, and the Owner of JD8 Official, a program that mentors and guides young basketball referees to LEVEL UP their career.
Jacqui first began officiating in the QLD State League in 2015. She attended Nationals from 2015 – 2018 working medal games at 3 out of the 4 tournaments.
With her success and skills developing, Jacqui was invited to the WNBL development panel in 2018 and was lucky enough to work on 6 games throughout that period. Jacqui was appointed to the WNBL Panel in 2019 and with a strong year, was appointed to a Semi Final Game. 2020 was a tricky year however for Jacqui, her development continues to thrive and was also appointed to a Semi Final during her time in the HUB.
With Toni Caldwell as a Mentor, Jacqui was destined to officiate in the NBL, she worked the pre-season games of 2018-2020 and was appointed to the Elite Referee Program in 2020. She is currently a member of the ERP (Development Referee) and is hoping to transition to the NBL Panel over the coming years.
In 2019 Jacqui was fortunate enough to travel to Chicago to attend the national Tryouts for the NBA G-League and hopes to be able to head back to pursue a career in the G-League/NBA/WNBA in the near future.
Jacqui is the owner of JD8 Official, which works with basketball officials from around Australia to mentor and guide them both on and off the court to achieve their goals.
