RECOVERY

With a master’s degree in Elite Sports Coaching from the School of Human Movement, University of Queensland, Andrew always had a passion for recovery, in all forms, from athletes, to coaches and more recently, officials.

Andrew was introduced to a new world of sport in 2015 when he was invited to meet with the Australian Sports Commission’s National Officiating Scholarships Manager and now Officiating Collectives Founder and Managing Director, Ash Synnott. Andrew was intrigued by the program and was surprised in how limited availability to of resources were available to developing sports officials. Andrew soon found a new passion, supporting and teaching officials of all things recovery, and never looked back.

Andrew has spent time as a Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach (2003-2015) and a National Coordinator of Physical Preparation for the Australian Sailing Team from 2002-2015. Andrew also held a role as Recovery Support at various World Cup and World Championships and was a key member of the National Officiating Scholarships from 2015-2017.
